Maximilian Attems 9f33d034aa sparc: config clean up 
- kill unrelated config comments
  makes me cry when i grep through configs
  sparc config is a real messed up one, and those comments are placed
  anywhere but near to their real variables
  (no functional change from aboves)
- also no way disabling SCSI_SCAN_ASYNC makes sense,
  we want that for initramfs and should be real happy about the drivers
  that support that.

Maximilian Attems 38c07b2271 security: set DEFAULT_MMAP_MIN_ADDR to 65536 
Low address space to protect from user allocation, see
a5ecbcb8c13ea8a822d243bf782d0dc9525b4f84, runtime tunable on
/proc/sys/vm/mmap_min_addr. let's see if we get any fallout.
double checked after Kconfig recommendation that fedora uses
that recommendation too.

Gordon Farquharson 60d79cd7a3 arm/iop32x: Enable CONFIG_CMDLINE_PARTS to satisfy the assumption that 
the physmap driver makes. This change fixes the problem reported in

Maximilian Attems aeef912f4c set yaird dependency relation to latest 0.0.12-25 
even with that one 2.6.24 is reported not to install,
but the one in stable will certainly fail.

motivation of the tighten dependency is to use newer
update-initmamfs calls syntax. latest yaird does support
that too. allowing to get rid of the old mkinitrd wrappers like.

Maximilian Attems 77ad3464f1 [amd64, i386]: Enable ACPI_SYSFS_POWER and disable ACPI_PROCFS_POWER. 
with both enabled one battery shows up twice in hal.
the procfs /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info is the deprecated one.
sysfs info is found in /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/

hal already shows enough info via sysfs, put pressure on hal
gnome-power-manager and friends to generalise their calculations.
